While the snow continuously melts,
it sounds like the ground is alive
snapping and cracking.
The snow is a gorgeous white,
untouched by anything.
Blanketing the evil in this world.
Before long though,
the sun comes out
and the good is taken away.
Drop by drop.
It’s like this is the last sign of winter,
before long it will be gone.
Washed away just like the snow.
And soon the flowers will start blooming.
The trees will become alive again,
full of life–their branches proving it so
with the swishing of their green leaves.
The hot sun on your back,
your shoulders steadily getting tanner
whether you like it or not.
Children running around without a care in the world,
while the increasing sound of the ice cream truck
making its way to your neighborhood
is heard by all.
